My day started just as right as I could thought of it. I woke up, with just three hours of sleep and a lil' piece of bread. The day had just started, still, there's no hassle.
My appointment at the US Embassy would start at 7.20 AM. I am required to arrive an hour before my appointment, hence, 6.20 AM. And the day has just been begun.
Oh alright, I have to xerox some copies for backup. Sorry, I forgot, hey I'm just being human. I arrived the embassy right down the very last minute. The first lane I lined into is quite long. I've met a couple of older ages than me and we began tattling. Just right, the line's going just right. That what was the first line was for -- For detecting and searching for "invalid" objects like cellphones, deadly weapons and recorders. I was pushed onto the next line.
This one's slow. I have to have an Appointment Number for the interview, so I have to get one here. I was with people in the line. The ones after me are professors from different universities. They talked and talked about their before-lives in the US being a newbie teacher. They share their experiences as an ALIEN in the US. Sorry, can't help overhearing. Unfortunate me, I still have to fill-up another form to supplement my application. That slows me down. After which, I proceeded to the nect window. Wow, a hot chick. the attendant in that window is a slim, pretty chick that caught my eye. Unluckily, I'm not there to see her but the consulate.
So much for sidetrips, I had to undergo pre-screening befor I proceed to the actual interview. A white woman entertained me, and for ther first time, I heard an american speak Tagalog. Wow, quite rare! Anyways, she was as hospitable as Filipinos are, which is good. I think she maybe here a long time ago, that she learns our language.
Another line (duh, expect many people applying for a US Visa!) and this one's super boring! The second to the last line (ooooh... I'm close!) is the finger mark detector. There very secure at that place, they really is... I got my finger mark scanned and voila, they seem to have a bit of info 'bout me... Guess I can't hide from them. The last line I'm in is the interview per se. My gate (rather a booth!) is number 3. I've seen many student visa applicants there and it seem like the interviewer of the stud visas. I waited and waited and waited. It seems like there are more student visa applicants as I see... It's been an hour and...
[Look after my side of the story at the epilogue...!]
